Best Entry-Level: Puffco New Peak

G4G E-Rig Power Rankings — Why These Landed Where They Did

1. Puffco Peak Pro + 3DXL

This one’s still the standard. It’s consistent, it hits hard when you want it to, and the ecosystem around it is huge. The 3DXL chamber really does change how much vapor you can pull without sacrificing flavor. It’s not cheap, but it earns the spot. I think one of the things that does it for me is the customization available. There are a ton of really nice attachments (including on this site) that really set it apart.

2. Dr. Dabber Switch 2

The Switch 2 is all about control and reliability. Induction heating means no exposed heaters and very even temps, and it feels like something you’ll still be using years from now. It’s less flashy than Puffco, but incredibly dialed in.

3. Focus V CARTA 2 Deluxe

This is for people who like to tinker. Tons of customization, strong performance, and a lot of flexibility in how you run your sessions. It can feel a little tech-heavy at first, but once you’re used to it, it’s a powerhouse.

4. Dr. Dabber Boost Evo

Fast heat-up, clean flavor, and no nonsense. The Boost Evo doesn’t try to do everything — it just does what it’s supposed to do very well. It’s a favorite for people who care more about the dab than the app.

5. VLAB Halo V2

This one surprises people. It punches above its price, delivers solid vapor, and feels like a real alternative to the big names without being a knockoff. If you want performance without paying top-tier prices, this is an easy recommendation.

6. Puffco New Peak

The New Peak is approachable and dependable. It doesn’t push boundaries, but it works, and it works well. This is often the rig people start with — and many never feel the need to upgrade.

7. Lookah Unicorn

The Unicorn sits comfortably in the mid-tier. It’s a true tabletop e-rig, not a pen pretending to be one, and it offers good performance for the price. It’s not chasing perfection — just solid value.

8. Pulsar APX eRig

Battery life is the big win here. It’s simple, sturdy, and gets the job done without much fuss. Not the most refined experience on the list, but dependable enough to earn its place.

9. Bomb ERIG Aerix

Compact, straightforward, and better than people expect. It doesn’t try to compete with the top of the list, but for a smaller footprint e-rig, it performs well and feels thoughtfully built.

10. XMAX Qomo

This is the budget baseline. It’s here to show what the lower end of the category looks like when done right. You won’t confuse it with premium rigs, but it proves that entry-level doesn’t have to mean bad.

There’s no “perfect” e-rig, just the one that fits how you dab. This list isn’t about hype, it’s about how these rigs actually stack up in real use.
